Ramesh Sippy’s breathless 204-minute action-adventure follows former police chief Thakur (Sanjeev Kumar), who hires thieves with hearts of gold, Jai (Amitabh Bachchan) and Veeru (Dharmendra), to capture maniacal bandit Gabbar Singh (Amjad Khan) alive.
